Frequently Asked Questions

What impact will it have on our power bill by switching to energy efficient windows?

Originating in 1992, with help from ENERGY STAR®, American families and businesses were able to save $297 billion on utility bills and prevented more than 2.1 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions by 2013. All Pella® products meet or exceed ENERGY STAR certification in all 50 states and most of Canada. How will this affect you? Not only could you notice a decrease to your heating and cooling costs, you can help protect the environment.

How much will my replacement door or replacement windows project cost?

Our windows and doors are all specifically designed and custom-built for your home, meaning no two projects are identical. Our large variety of products make it difficult to discuss pricing without first considering your needs, wants and the project results you envision. Due to this nature, we find it mutually beneficially to send out a Pella sales representative who will provide you with a quoted project price upon seeing the project site itself. To speed up the quoting procedure, your Pella® sales representative is equipped with a computer and a portable printer so that they can give you all the quote information you’ll need—as soon as the sales representative has a chance to consider the requirements of the project and aligns them with your vision.

In addition to offering a large variety of high-quality products to choose from, we also have a generous offering of payment and finance options. Pella is uniquely-suited to offer you great window and door products at affordable prices, providing you with a chance to make the upgrades you want to while building great value into your West Springfield area home all the while.

What should I use to clean my glass windows?

We advise that you clean them with a prepackaged vinegar-based cleaning mixture or use an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Windex or Sparkle. You can also mix your own with one part vinegar to ten parts water. Put the solution on a soft, clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. We do not recommend glass cleaners that are ammonia- or alcohol-based as they could produce streaks or create a film that magnetizes moisture and dust.

Do Pella® employees actually install your replacement windows and doors?

Pella uses dependable installers who are certified to install Pella products. We require them to complete a thorough set of training courses so that your windows and doors are installed properly and meet Pella’s strict warranty criteria. We look for the best West Springfield-local people and recruit them to install our projects. Prior to beginning our relationship, Pella requires them to pass a drug test and background check. Our installers are are insured by liability and workers compensation insurance. Beyond Pella product warranties, your installation is also covered for 10 years under the installation limited warranty and service agreement.
